Overdue for Another Concert

After 2 months it was definitely time to attend another concert! I think I was beginning to experience concert withdrawal. Luckily Janelle found Matt Nathanson. Friday October 21st we headed downtown to see Matt Nathanson play at In The Venue. Oh how I LOVED that concert! He is a fantastic performer, and he sounds great live! For those of you unfamiliar with Matt check out his newest album, "Modern Love" it's awesome!
I love having a concert buddy in Janelle!

My Nephew

I got to babysit my nephew, Toby, for a week Oct. 9- Oct. 16th. He sure loved his Auntie Sarah, and I loved having him around just as much.

This is Toby! What's not to love about that face?! We went on car rides together, he got to go to Travis' to play with Shelby, we went for walks, and he got to torture my cats. It was a great week!

One of the few moments of peace. Even my Darcy, who eventually warms up to everyone, resisted Toby's charm. Oh the hissing... Toby, however, was never phased by my snotty cats and thought they were his new best friends. He took their swatting paws, hissing, and running away to mean that they were playing with him. He sure is cute!

Date Night (Planned In Advance!)

As we are all well aware, the University of Utah football team completely slaughtered BYU's football team. This wonderful fact resulted in me winning a friendly wager with Travis. He has to go to a musical and pretend to be interested the whole time, and can't have his phone out. Travis had this on the brain one day while looking at Groupon. He found a discount to see "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" at the Castle Outdoor Theater in Provo, so he bought it. What a good boyfriend!

Friday October 7th was date night. We bundled up, grabbed blankets, and made the journey to Utah County. Despite the cold temperature and the light rain the show went on. We had a good time. I've never seen this play before and it's a little creepy, but the time went quickly and it kept my attention. I would be interested to see more shows there in the future.

Here's the best part... We've got plans to see a musical this week! Travis really is expanding his horizons. :)

I needed to take a picture to document Travis at a play. Not only was he at a play, but he survived the experience. That's the first look I got out of him.

A brief lecture and a punch in the arm later I got a genuine smile. See? It wasn't that bad!

Game Day with D'Nell!

My awesome friend D'Nell invited me to join her at the Utah v. Washington football game on Saturday October 1st. We rode Trax up to the U. early and spent time tailgating with her family (yummy food). Then it was on to the game.

Swoop spent some time in our section causing all sorts of trouble.

D'Nell!

Check out all that red in the stands. LOVE IT! I will not be discussing the outcome of the game. Just know that I had tons of fun with D'Nell and I'm so glad she invited me.
