More Sunshine Pics!

Our first night in California was our only time to visit the beach. I L-O-V-E loved it even though it was dark!

Look at my feet in the ocean! The water was actually warm!

I was so happy that I couldn't stop myself from dancing in the waves!

Cool light tricks with Kjersti's new camera.

Saturday January 17th we started the day in Disneyland.
This is what we looked like on Splash Mountain...
This is what Kjersti looked like when we got off Splash Mountain. She got SOAKED! I got a few drops. :)

Winnie the Pooh was so cute with an adorable little girl that we just had to have our picture taken with him. He was the only character we had time to stop and talk to.

Main Street

The Princesses in front of the Princess Castle.

Saturday night we finished the day at California Adventure.

Sunday morning we started early in Disneyland.
We drove the go-carts and I got my very own Autopia drivers' license!

Kjersti's mug shot...

Wow! Mr. Toad's Wild Ride really was wild!

So, if I get this sword out does that make me the queen??? I could handle that!
Why hello Mr. Sparrow!Sunday night in Toon Town

According to Kjersti everyone needs a Singin' in the Rain picture, so here's mine!

Riding the train around Disneyland on our way to find a place to watch Fantasmic.Kjersti got some awesome pictures of the fireworks during Fantasmic. The show was almost cancelled because of high elevation winds, but we got lucky and got to see the show! I was so glad!

It was a wonderful trip and I want to go back yesterday. Kjersti is a great friend and made the trip wonderful!

Shorts... In January!

Friday January 16th I jetted off towards a weekend of warmth, fun, and wearing shorts. My friend Kjersti and I made a sponatneous (it's only been planned since the week before Christmas) trip to sunny California. I feel the need to thank Martin Luther King, Jr. for having a holiday dedicated to him because I got to spend that day at the Happiest Place on Earth.
It was amazing to me what the sunshine and warm weather did for me. I felt like a completely different person. It was 85 degrees all 4 days we were there and I was actually wearing shorts in January! SHORTS IN JANUARY!!!!
We flew into the John Wayne Airport just after 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and thanks to the GPS on Kjersti's phone we found our hotel easily in our cute little rental car (I'm officially old enough to rent a car! Although, for this trip Kjersti did the renting. But still, I'm old enough to rent a car!) Our weekend was jam-packed and I REALLY wanted to go to the beach, so Kjersti was kind enough to participate in the trek to the nearest beach. We left shortly before sunset hoping to get there in time to watch the sun set over the ocean. However, traffic and our lack of directions made it difficult to find a beach very quickly. As long as we could still see a little light we knew we were heading West, but after we stopped to eat we no longer had light.

We stopped for dinner at In-N-Out Burger. I have never eaten there and that's pretty much all Mason has talked about since he's been home from his mission, so we just had to stop there. It was actually really good. Kjersti got her meal "Animal Style" and I was brave enough to try it.
After we ate we continued our quest to find a beach. After 2 hours we finally ran into a beach. It was beautiful (pictures will come soon) and I just had to dance. I was at the beach in January! For anyone who knows me well, you know that I LOVE water, so keeping me out of the ocean wasn't even a possibility. I rolled up my pants as far as they would go, took off my shoes and spent some quality time jumping and dancing in the waves. You would think the Pacific Ocean would be cold, but it was rather pleasant. I totally would have played in it during the day!

Saturday January 17th we entered Disneyland! I haven't been to Disneyland since the beginning of high school, so I was as excited as a little kid. I was at Disneyland, wearing shorts in January! This is Kjersti waiting oh so patiently to be let into Disneyland.

Look at all those cars! Why can't we just cut in line? I AM a princess after all!

DISNEYLAND IN JANUARY WEARING SHORTS!!!!!

Yes, I DID take a picture of Kjersti paying the parking booth guy. I was going to Disneyland in January and I was wearing shorts! Anyone would have been excited.

Saturday Kjersti got priority seating for us at the Blue Bayou for lunch.

It was yummmmmmy! But I ate way too much, and I only ate half of it!

Why hello Mr. Potato Head! (Mr. Potato Head entertained us as we waited in line for the Toy Story ride.)

Stylin' 3D glasses! Kjersti and I got matching Mickey ears. They are Princess Pirate ears and we got "Ms. Parkes" and "Ms. White" embroidered on them so we can wear them to school. And yes, I did wear my ears all day.

Saturday afternoon we wandered over to California Adventure. Somehow Kjersti convinced me to go on the Tower of Terror. I should have learned from the California Screamin' ride that any ride Kjersti "loves" will be SCARY! I was a nervous wreck as we waited for Tower of Terror.

I don't know how it happened, but I survived. Kjersti got me on that ride 2 other times during our trip and every time I would stand in line and shake my head. "How in the world did you get me on this ride again?"

Sunday we worshipped at the church of Mickey. We took advantage of Magic Hours and got into Disneyland a little early.
Before we left on our trip Kjersti told me that there was no way she would go on the Teacup ride. It's Disneyland, you HAVE to go on the Teacup ride. I was able to convince her to go on the ride, and eventually she even let me spin a little. However, she never took her eyes off my nose. I didn't realize my nose was so cute. :)

How awesome is that picture? I took that Sunday night from the train that goes around Disneyland.
The rest of my pictures that I got from Kjersti are on my computer at school. As soon as I copy them to a CD and bring them home I will post them.
It was a fantastic vacation. I really needed time away, and this was the perfect trip for that. I can't believe what a huge difference a little more sunshine makes! For anyone who is feeling slightly down I would highly recommend a trip to somewhere warm and sunny. I was wearing shorts in January, who wouldn't be happy about that?!?!

I'm BAAACK!

So, be prepared for a long post, I have a lot to catch up on.

I just purchased another item from my Big Girl Paycheck list.... a laptop! Yeah, and now that I'm living with my friend Kandus I no longer fear having the Internet taken away from me. :)

So, I'll go back a month....

Christmas was okay. I got a new brain (for normal people it's known as a Palm). It has helped improve my memory already and I love it.

Tyler's 24th birthday would have been December 28th. Becasue it was Sunday we weren't able to go out and do much, but my parents were kind enough to go with me to the cemetery to take him some balloons. Happy birthday my Handsome!
Oh yes, one of the most important things of 2008..... The Utes beat Alabama! It was amazing!!!!!! That was the first football game I ever watched all the way through. Go Utes! You're #1 in my eyes!!!!!

I celebrated New Years' Eve for the first time in 3 years this year. My amazing friends from my ward invited me to go with them downtown. We stayed over night in the Marriott next to Gallivan Plaza. We just hung out and played games and then at midnight we went outside to watch the fireworks. It was so much fun! I absolutely LOVE my friends!
Top to Bottom: Me, Annalissa, D'Nell, Amber, Heather, and Erin waiting for Midnight!
Me and my cute friend Amber! We need to find her a way cute guy who is totally worthy of her awesomeness!
We had eaten a lot, so every time we went up to our room we took the stairs... all 8 floors of them!

I walked up ALL those stairs!

CHEERS! Here's to a good 2009!

All of our fun and games tuckered Lisa right out!

It's About Time!

I know, I know, it's surprising that someone as obsessed with their blog as I am hasn't updated in such a long time. But, once again the new person we were "borrowing" internet from has discovered us, so we've been cut off again. I've been trying to get hooked up with Comcast through my friend's cousin but he won't return my phone calls.
So, here's the scoop on the very exciting life of Sarah White....
I survived Thanksgiving. I learned how to make pies the day before Thanksgiving with my grandpa (he's pretty much my favorite person on Earth).
School is as exciting as ever. I got to deal with my first suicide attempt Thursday. This poor seventh grade girl was the target of some terrible rumors and just couldn't handle it anymore. The good news is that it wasn't a "serious" attempt. Thank goodness for Mr. Babcock he helped me so so so much that day. I was able to get a list of students who were the culprits and I got my hands on them the next day. There were 4 boys and 2 girls and by the time I was done with them I even had the boys in tears. I didn't raise my voice or get in their faces, but I was able to yank a few heartstrings. Teasing, bullying, harrassing, etc. are something I do NOT tolerate. I was the victim of mean kids way too often during my school career and I am doing everything in my power to make sure that no other girls are bullied like I was.
I also got to see the strangest injury this week at school. A kid stomped on a pencil that had been stuck sharp side down in the dirt and the broken end of the pencil went through his shoe into his foot. There was no blood but that pencil sure was stuck up in his foot! It was CRAZY!!
Moving away from school (can you tell what the main part of my life is?) let's get to the holidays. I am the ultimate Scrooge. There are absolutely ZERO Christmas decorations up at our house. I just haven't been able to handle the holidays very well for the last couple years. My mom suggested Hawaii for Christmas this year and after only a couple days of thinking I was completely sold on the idea. Then Mom changed her mind. So, what are my plans for this Christmas? I'm trying not to think that far ahead, so I'll tell you when it gets here. :) I do have 2 whole weeks off work and I tend to get into one of my moods with that much time off, so if anyone wants to hangout please let me know!
Last thing, I am going on a cruise! When? Probably in June. Where? I found a Mediterranean cruise online that I ma highly interested in. I'm actually managing to save money to make this happen.
Have fun!
