Who Gave Sarah a Gun???

This morning Mason and his friend Nathan took me shooting for the first time. We've been talking about it for awhile and today was the day. After a fretful conversation with my mom on the phone (she wasn't too hip on the idea of me with a gun. She said she was more concerned about Mason and Nathan being around me with a gun that she was about me... WHAT?!) we got started. Nathan had a .22, .38 Special, and a Glock (if that makes sense to any of you you are doing better than me). Nathan started me off with the .22. I got fairly comfortable with that one and then he moved me to the .38 Special. I didn't terribly like that one. He had me try his Glock only once (he had to hold onto my arm when I pulled the trigger and I'm glad he did because I might have a black eye right now). I hated the Glock and would not shoot it again.
We drove to 5 Mile Pass and found a nice little "bowl" area that had a slight hill in the middle and we set up empty pop bottles to aim at.
Mason challenged me to a competition and because I am one of the most competitive people around I couldn't pass it up. We took turns aiming at one of the pop bottles and whoever hit it the most won. My score was 4 out of 6, and Mason came in a disgraceful second at 0 out of 6. He got beat by a girl! Then of course Nathan wanted to show off so he challenged me. I scored 5 out of 13 and he got a big fat ZERO! He's a sore loser so he wanted to try again, and I totally whooped him again! He only got... oh wait... once again he got ZERO! I L-O-V-E love winning!!!

I did that to that pop bottle. How awesome am I?

I did that to a beer bottle on my first attempt aiming at that particular target. I used the .22 to get these results.

Nathan found a large puddle of frozen water. What a boy!

My first time with the .38 Special.

This is the .22, my favorite gun of the morning.

One of the bullets for the .22. I learned how to load the bullets into that gun.

Hi Nathan!

When our ammunition was almost gone Mason drew a target in the hill. I was the only one who managed to hit the center of the target. I ROCK! All the holes in the snow are from me!

Because I'm a girl I notice the pretty things. The snow was very cool looking. It was fragile little crystals that looked very differenct from the snow we usually see.

I love shootin' Glocks! I feel all gansta (especially when I turn my hand sideways). :) Way to beat the guys at target practice; that I definitely cannot do.
