Becoming Even More Football Literate

Time for another flag football tournament! I spent the weekend in Las Vegas with Travis so he could play on a flag football team. We started south Friday right after Travis got done with work. We spent Friday night in Mesquite with Travis' roommate Zach's girlfriend, Ashley, and her family (did you follow that??). Ashley's family own a home in Mesquite and it is beautiful. We got there late and only visited for a bit before we headed to bed, but are so grateful for their hospitality. Ashley and her family are so kind.
We were up bright and early Saturday morning. We were awake by 5:00 and on the road by 6:00 to be to Vegas on time for their 8:00 game.

#20 Zach and #1 Travis. "The Misfits" played at 8:00 and 1:00 on Saturday. They won 1 game. After their last game we headed to Circus Circus to check in. Travis and I stayed with Ryan and Rheana. They are great and we have a lot of fun with them. We spent some time relaxing before everyone headed out for a night on the town.
After dinner Travis and I headed to The Venetian to see Blue Man Group. We had fantastic seats and loved the show! I would highly recommend it! So much fun!

After Blue Man Group we started walking back to the hotel. After a few minutes we realized we had been walking the wrong direction. I saw the Bellagio in the distance and decided I wanted to walk down to see the fountains. It was further away than it looked, but it was a nice evening and fun to just walk the Strip with Travis.

Sunday morning the boys' first game was at 7:00 a.m.! Seriously way too early! However, the boys were able to win their first game that day. It was chillier than expected in Vegas. We were layered and wrapped up to protect against the 40 degree temperatures. Once the sun came up fully it warmed up a little. It was just nice to have clear, sunny skies.

This was the second game Sunday at 9:00 a.m., the first round of the play-offs. #61 Travis

The boys lost, and since it was single elimination they were done with the tournament. We headed to get something to eat and watch the Baltimore v. Houston football game for a little bit and then it was back to Utah.

I had a wonderful weekend with Travis! It always amazes me how much fun we have together even though we have nothing in common. I love being with him.

We survived the long drive home and I slept for 12 hours last night. So grateful to have a day off to recover. :)

LOVE Vegas! If you ever need a pit-stop/stay-over in St. George, you're always welcome. :)
