Spring Break, The Second Half

April 3rd was our first full day in Disneyland and we had a ton of fun.  I sure love Disneyland!

We chose Wednesday to be our Splash Mountain day because it was going to be the warmest.  Ben was foolish enough to volunteer to sit in front.  Luckily we didn't get as wet as we did last year.

Ben wanted all of us to pretend we were asleep.  It just didn't happen.

Hello awesomeness!
Definitely my favorite ride, Space Mountain.

Wednesday night we watched World of Color.  What an amazing show!  It brings me to tears.  I just love the music and the movie clips and the amazing technology.  If you haven't been you definitely need to go.

Wednesday was a good day.  We enjoyed some great time with super fun students and some time with the other chaperones.

Thursday was Disneyland day number 2.  Kjersti and I bought matching shirts (because we're cool like that) and spent a leisurely day exploring Disneyland and California Adventure.  We were able to attend the Improv workshop with students that day and enjoyed watching the instructor.  Thursday ended up being quite an adventure for us, sick students and assisting a handicapped man when he was injured in an accident.  I was grateful for the opportunity to help someone in need and was deeply touched by the incredible compassion a couple of the other women in our group showed for a man they had never met.  We were surrounded by amazing people, and I consider them to be angels on earth.

Friday it was time to pack up, load the buses, and head home.  I was looking forward to being home and seeing Travis.
On the second day of our trip our room keys no longer worked to unlock the door.  We discovered, however, that the windows did not lock and by simply pushing on the window and sliding it would open. We spent the majority of our trip climbing in the window to our room.  Sure makes you feel super secure...

I was grateful for the opportunity to go on this trip.  I love some good quality Kjersti time, and Disneyland is never more fun than when it's with Kjersti.  You would think that because I work with teenagers on a daily basis I wouldn't want to spend my Spring Break with more teenagers, but these students are so much fun and quite responsible and a joy to be around.  It's been a great experience for me.
