Part 6: The Conclusion (You'll Be Glad You Hung In There!)

To finish off our vacation we had a yummy dinner and an interesting dessert. When we were done at the Animal Kingdom we headed to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. Kjersti, Charron, Ben, and Luana all ordered the steampots and were rather excited.

Luana and Ben completely prepared for their crab.

Dinner is served!

There is TONS of food in those steampots.

Looks appetizing watching everyone play with their food, doesn't it???

Never a dull moment when Ben is around!

I never knew that eating crab took so much concentration.

I also didn't know that it was so very messy!

Ben just looks so content and happy.

What? It's gone?!

Ben was determined to get every little piece of meat out of his crab. He made sure he checked every piece of shell just in case.

Didn't your mother teach you not to play with your food?

After dinner we wandered over to Beaches and Cream and ordered the ultimate dessert.... The Kitchen Sink. It's hard to explain, but the pictures that will come are great explanations of the awesomeness that we consumed.

Luana's ready!

Charron's ready!

Let's face it, I'm ALWAYS ready for ice cream! This was like my wildest dream come true!

Kjersti's definitely ready!

The Kitchen Sink takes a little while to prepare, so we had a little entertainment while we waited.

When I took this picture I promised that I wouldn't mention that Kjersti is holding the spoon on her nose with her thumb. Oooops, did I spill the secret???

Check out this talent!

Introducing.... THE KITCHEN SINK!!!

Now, I will admit to pulling faces in some pictures, but this isn't a pose. This is honest awe. When the waiter brought our dessert to us they dimmed the lights, turned on a disco ball, and announced that our order to the whole restaurant while walking our Kitchen Sink around the room so everyone could take a look.

Yummy!!

There are 8 scoops of ice cream, brownies, angel food cake pieces, cherries, hot fudge, peanut butter, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, candied fruit, and whipped cream in this masterpiece.

It took a lot of concentration to make sure you got the flavors you wanted.

Half way.....

By this point I had discovered the piles of peanut butter stuck to the bottom. I was making every effort to make sure all the peanut butter was consumed.

Oh my goodness, we're almost done!

Ben's a human garbage disposal and was determined to finish every little bit.

Ben started to get sick, and Luana began to worry about him...

..... So, being the amazing wife that she is, she volunteered to drink the remaining meltiness at the bottom of the sink.

Ben's awe was apparent. While Luana drank the end of the ice cream he just kept saying, "I love you so much!"

TA-DA!!! We did it!

This pretty much sums up how all of us were feeling by this point.
We finished our Kitchen Sink around Midnight and then it was time to go home to try and get 4 hours of sleep before we had to be to the airport. It was a super fun trip and I am so grateful for Ben and Luana's willingness to let us stay with them and take us to all the Disney parks! I would highly recommend the Disney World vacation.

What a cruel trick...posting pictures of amazing food! I love Joe's Crab Shack and my mouth was watering from the very beginning. Then, you make it even worse by showing me that ice cream sundae! Holy moly! It reminds me of "The Grandma" at Leatherby's. YUM.
