Time for another concert! Janelle and I spent Friday night at The Complex to see Far East Movement in concert. It was the second time in my life that I've been IDed (besides airports). Oh, the places Janelle takes me. :) We arrived at The Complex at 7, when the concert was supposed to start, and everyone was still lined up outside. We got our wristbands and a security guard told us we looked older than 21 (that doesn't happen to me very often, so I was flattered) so we could go to the bar to stay warm. Our choice: stay outside without coats and freeze, or go inside. We went to the bar. The DJ started about 30 minutes later. We chose to stay on the top floor and avoid the crowd downstairs. Our choice had consequences... being hit on by drunk creepy guys. The first one asked me my name. I had an internal debate (that took way longer than it should have) of whether I should give him a fake name. I finally said, "Um... Sarah?" He asked if I was sure about that and I said yes. Janelle returned to rescue me, but that didn't stop him. He reached over and grabbed my arm and told me that the t-shirt the DJ was wearing was from his clothing line. I don't think I looked terribly impressed because he finally stepped away. The next guy grabbed my arm and asked if I was having a good time. Janelle had a guy offer to buy her a drink. This kind of environment causes all sort of problems for someone like me who struggles with personal space issues. Oh the touching....
Finally, the opening act, Nina Sky, took the stage. They weren't great. Then another DJ tried to entertain us. Far East Movement didn't take the stage until 10:00. We decided next time we will be 2 hours late.

This is the view from where we were. A really nice tall guy let Janelle and I squish in front of him so we could see. His friends gave us weird looks, but I didn't care because a concert is much more enjoyable if you can see what's going on.

Far East Movement. I'm not dedicated enough to them to know any of their names. Sorry. But, if you're that curious, google it.

It was a fun night. I always enjoy a good concert with Janelle. Next up... Bon Jovi! We are also seriously considering a trip to Wendover to see Boyz II Men. Any other suggestions?
