After weeks of anticipation Ms. White's paper chain has appeared! WOOHOOO! If you all remember, last year the paper chain made it's appearance in February (last year was a bad year). I was rather firmly told that I was not allowed to make a paper chain that early ever again, apparently it does not send a positive message to the students.... Whatever! So, like the obedient woman that I am (as my mother snickers) I waited this year. I believe that today was the right day. A student mentioned making a paper chain and the voice in my head awoke and shouted "DO IT!" I did not hesitate, went straight out into the counseling center, pulled out the paper cutter and my student and I got to work. 33 links on our chain (it was only 2nd period so we had to have one for today). The principal walked past during construction and did not say anything. I take that to mean he approves of the project. So, for those of you wondering, since today is over we now have 32 school days left this year!

Can't come soon enough!
SWEET! I can't believe you were chastised for the making of a paper chain. That's ludicrous as the kids are generally more excited than the teachers. I would think students would find it refreshing. ;)
