June 3rd 9th Grade Lagoon Day

Wednesday was 9th grade Lagoon day and of course I made sure my name was on the list of "chaperones." Kjersti and I got a couple of our other friends from Valley, Angie and Janelle, to join us this year. We had tons of fun! I LOVE 9th grade Lagoon day. I think we have more fun than some of the kids. We are able to just let loose and be carefree for a day, and after the craziness of the last couple months I needed that! However, by the time 4:00 came we were all tired and cranky and ready for bed. I got home and went to bed at 7:00 that night and almost slept solid to 6:00 this morning. I'm still recovering from the achiness and the grumpiness. ..About our 3rd ride in Kjersti and I chose to go on Cliffhanger. I've never been on that ride before, althought I've always wanted to try it. We probably should have waited until a little later because we were soaked clear through. We got sat right on the front row in the middle. Our co-workers thought it was pretty funny. I was grateful I had a hat in my bag!

Kjersti and Angie decided to try out the Catapult. I wanted to document what could possibly have been their last moments, so I took lots of pictures. This ride has a video camera attached and you have the option to buy a DVD of your experience when you are finished. All the teachers who had gathered to watch this event pitched in a dollar to purchase the DVD and they showed it on the announcements this morning for the students. It was great fun to watch. We may have to send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos. Make sure you strap them in tightly please!

Any final words ladies?

Coming down...

THEY SURVIVED! I was so worried!!

Ms. Parkes, Ms. White, Ms.Smith, and Ms. Christensen... We are pretty much the most awesome people at Valley Junior High School!
