West Jordan High School had the Sweethearts Dance on Saturday February 11th. We were all still trying to deal with Grandma's passing and my mom and aunts and uncles had meetings scheduled that Saturday to begin funeral plans, which left me in charge of Emma. Emma had asked me a week earlier to help her with her hair (I don't know why, I'm lucky to get my own hair decent most days). Taylor and Mason had come up Friday, so Taylor was willing to help in the dance prep activities. Emma originally wanted her hair down and curled, but we just couldn't get that to work and Taylor and I decided it would be better up. Between the 2 of us we came up with this design. The front is parted on the side and there are 2 small braids down each side pulled back into these 2 messy buns. It looked super cute!! I was very proud of us. Then we took turns helping with Emma's make-up. She looked fantastic by the time we were done with her. And the dress she picked was so cute! We had a lot of fun.
