People always ask if I like me job. I usually give the same response, "It depends on the day. I LOVE my students though!" That statement is never more true than when they do amazing things. This last December our girls' basketball team won the district championship. Last Wednesday, February 22, 2012 the girls' volleyball team set out to accomplish the same feat.

60 kids and 2 secretaries loaded the Spirit Bus near the end of the day to follow the team bus to Taylorsville High School. They were followed by several faculty members (including me) and many parents. We all held high hopes that our girls would finish the season undefeated.

Coach Pace is an amazing woman! We absolutely love her! She has been teaching for well over 30 years, and a girls' volleyball championship had been just out of her grasp. My first year at Valley the girls went to the championship game, which was so awesome, but came out second place. This was going to be the year, we all just knew it.

The volleyball games are always best 2 out of 3. Our girls were facing Churchill Jr.

After only 2 games our girls were victorious! The crowd went wild! Trying to keep all the students in the stand was a challenge and we only succeeded for a short time.

The cheerleaders showing the crowd one of their great stunts.

As soon as we let the students loose the team and Coach Pace were mobbed. We had to push and pull to get them out of the crowd for team pictures.

This is the face of a very proud "mother."
Congratulations girls! You have made Valley Jr. very proud. We are all proud to be Ligers!
