Fun, fun, fun in the sun!

Thursday I left to go to St. George with a group of girls from my ward. We went to celebrate Amber's birthday. It was so nice to get away with some GREAT friends. We had a lot of fun with only one mishap. Last Tuesday I developed symptoms of an infection, but I thought I could beat it myself. I was feeling better Thursday, but after only an hour and a half in the car my symptoms came back with a vengeance! I was absolutely miserable!! About a half hour later we got to Fillmore and my friends and mom (over the phone) were able to convince me to try to find an instacare. We found the hospital in Fillmore and I went to the emergency room. I was the only patient! We were only there for 30 minutes. It was a speedy quick ER trip. The doctor gave me some antibiotics and then sent us on our way. After a 7 hour car trip (that should have been 4 hours) we arrived in St. George.
Once we got to St. George we had a lot of fun. We spent Friday morning just hanging out. We slept in and then spent a few hours at the pool. It was hot, hot, hot! The temperature got up to about 102 degrees! The pool felt very nice during that. After we were finished swimming and got ready for the day we met up with Amber's sister and D'Nell and went to lunch, then we found the outlet mall! We spent awhile shopping and then it was onto dinner and the play.
Amber got us tickets to see "Annie" at Tuacahn. That area is beautiful! I've never been there before and I was blown away. It's just another witness of how much Heavenly Father loves us, he gives us this beautiful earth to enjoy. The play was well done and we had a lot of fun there.
We got home this afternoon. We were all tired and ready to be home, but the weekend was oh so much fun!!!

The girls: D'Nell, me, Amber, Camille, Steph, and Heather
We got to hang out in the mini (my mom was nice enough to let us borrow her van).

Lunch at Marv's on Friday. Yummy hamburgers!

The parking lot at Tuacahn. I was able to back the van into a parking spot on my first try! I don't even back my own car into parking spots! I was very proud of myself (apparently Amber felt it was something to celebrate...)

D'Nell, Amber, Steph, and Heather

The red rocks surrounding the Tuacahn theater. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

The stage.

I got a blue raspberry snow cone. It was very good and my lips were AWESOME!

I know you're a little jealous that you couldn't walk around in public with fantastic bright blue lips...

Amber's sister, Camille, had gone to our hotel room before we got there and filled the fridge with fresh fruit, fruit dip, water, and a cheesecake. She also left us lots of treats on the table and brought some very cute balloons for Amber. After the play Friday night we went back to the hotel room and sang to Amber and ate the cheesecake.

Make a wish!!

We were all worn out and HOT after the play. When we got back to the hotel we turned up the air conditioner and Heather got cold really fast, so she climbed in bed. :)
