Today we made the "Ding Trip" to Forks, Washington. I just had to go once I realized how close we were. I've been an Edward girl since the day I picked up Twilight, so I wanted to see the place I'd read about and pictured in my mind. Let's just say, the Forks in my head and in the movies is much better than the real Forks. But, now I can say that I've been there.

Bella's truck. Emma was distracted. Apparently Jacob ran past. Like I said, I'm an Edward girl so I wasn't phased.
I'm not going to lie, I'm considering framing this. :)

The good news is there's no competition for my man within my family.

Mom said she only wanted a picture with Jacob if his shirt was off, but we convinced her to stand there an smile anyways.

We took ourselves on the tour of Forks. Thanks to Carol who drove and navigated and also was our photographer! The parentals and Everett stayed in the car the entire time.
Ask yourselves, as you view these pictures, do they match the pictures in your head?

Outside Forks Hospital where Carlisle works.

Forks High School. Construction crews are in the process of tearing it down.

The police station where Charlie works.

My new mailbox at my new address where my new boyfriend lives!

The Cullens' home

It doesn't match the picture in your head does it???

Look who's home waiting for me!

I think the sign is wrong. I just saw Edward waiting patiently for me.

The drive to and from Forks is absolutely beautiful!

This evening we headed back to the beach. Your surprised aren't you? ;) We attempted to get this kite in the air. Mom and Carol

I was put in charge of running with the kite. I ran for quite a distance and got it up, but I couldn't get it to catch an air current, so it eventually just came right back to the ground. I gave up because my pants are too big and kept slipping down (no one needs to see that) and I got bored and tired of running.

This kite is bigger than me!

Everett tried to prove me wrong. But, he had the same result I did.

Everyone was off playing and I got hungry, so I took control of the situation. I built the fire all by myself! It seems that week of girls' camp TORTURE every summer wasn't a total waste of my time. I actually learned something. AND I didn't even have to use Boy Scout Water!

This is my Happy Dance.

Carol challenged me to a soccer game, then she quickly recruited Emma to be on her team. I was outnumbered!

This is shortly before I sustained my injury. Emma kicked the ball right into my face. I stopped it with my nose.

Despite my injury, and the fact I was outnumbered, I prevailed and won the game 5 to 3!

Dinner time (over my raging fire)! Roasted hot dogs, baked beans, and s'mores and roasted Starbursts. YUM!

My madre

Emma

Despite the name, I am only allowed one s'more! Yet another lesson learned at girls' camp, I get sick after more that one s'more!

The crew! Dad, Emma, Mom, Everett, and Carol. Yes, it was totally freezing! We only lasted until 7:30 tonight and then had to head back to the house to warm up and play Hot Dice.
