I got to do a lot of celebrating this 4th of July holiday. I spent Friday evening at a barbeque with my awesome friends and then we went to watch the fireworks at Granite High School. Saturday I went to dinner with more awesome friends and then we fought the insane crowds at Sugarhouse Park. Pretty sure I won't do that again. Sunday night was the awesomeness in Deer Valley with OneRepublic. Then Monday night (my last night of freedom before my ESL Endorsement classes started) I went to dinner again (no wonder I've gained back 2 of the 10 pounds I've worked so hard to lose) and then to the Bees' game.
I love going to the Bees' games as long as there are fireworks when the game is over. Last year we had to sit through 11 innings before we got to watch the fireworks. We learned from that most boring of experiences and showed up this year at the top of the 4th inning. It made the game much more bearable. Thank goodness I was next to Tami, she's hillarious!
Our section won free laundry soap. Apparently that does NOT mean everyone gets one, just those who yell loudest at the people passing out the limited supply. All Tami did was put one hand up and say, "Hey!" and they handed it to her. I was not so fortunate. Although, I was fortunate enough to catch the kid behind us picking his nose...
Pretty much the most violent rendition of YMCA you've ever witnessed. Kandus and Michele were not so happy to be forced into it. :)
The end of the game drew near and the Bees were only down one run. If they could tie it up they would get to play and extra inning (or 2 or 3 or 4...) and possibly win. So, naturally Tami and I began cheering for the other team (the Tacoma Rainiers). Who wants to sit that long when there are fireworks to be watched?!
